Senior User Interface Designer

Are you curious, highly motivated by problems, and obsessive about experiences? Do you have a history in designing operating systems or enterprise applications? Do you like the prospect of impacting millions of lives worldwide whilst developing your craft? Then you might be just the one we’re looking for!

With a growing portfolio of clients, we are seeking a Senior User Interface Designer to join our family of strategists, creatives, user experience, customer experience, tech and data specialists in our mission to humanize the relationship between brands and people.

A digital leader within customer relations

Wunderman Nordic is a unique organization, delivering high-impact digital marketing experiences that enrich and evolve brand-consumer relationships.

With the brain of a consultancy and the heart of an agency, we use data to inspire and back up our creative thinking when working with some of the world’s most admired brands within sport, fashion, consumer goods, retail, travel & hospitality, pharma, and finance.

What will your day look like?

As our new Senior User Interface Designer, you will be empowered with the latest tools and full autonomy to shape the User Experience Design team alongside some of the brightest and kindest people we know. Working closely with User Experience Designers, Frontend Developers, and Data Analysts in particular, you will add clarity and impact to everything you touch to ensure interfaces need no explanation and just ‘work’. More specifically, your responsibilities include:

  • Conceptualizing and delivering sophisticated, yet scalable digital experiences
  • Applying skillful use of illustration, photography, typography, layout, color, imagery, and whitespace – in line with corporate visual identity
  • Utilizing responsive grids and applying technical feasibility to your design solutions, working closely with Frontend development teams
  • Developing a working knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager and Campaign Classic, and keeping up-to-date on email best practice design.

Who are you going to work with?

The User Experience Design team is part of an Experience department unlike any other. Designers, researchers, and strategists work side-by-side with classic creative disciplines like art direction and copywriting to craft meaningful, memorable, and end-to-end interactions that satisfy ever-growing customer expectations.

There are 25 of us right now, out of a total of over 450 strategic, technical, and analytical experts here at our offices in Østerbro. The lunch is great, the parties are even better. But most importantly, the working climate is geared towards letting great minds produce brilliant work.

The number of connected devices is set to triple in the next five years, opening up new pathways for brands to connect with people. You’ll be at the forefront of this discovery and will have the support to explore new methods of communication as well as sharpening your existing skillset.

What do you bring to the table?

As a person, you are a positive, outgoing, and sociable team player with a self-starting and can-do mentality. You find energy in creating, yet you are structured and have a strong grasp of detail. You believe in life-long learning and possess a strong analytical ability to communicate the value of good interface design as a consultant as well as delivering as a practitioner, committing to deadlines and asking for help in equal measures. You thrive in debates (or as we call it, sparring) in the pursuit of excellent work, and you are strong in building relationships and managing stakeholders. In addition, you have:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience from an agency or consultancy business
  • A history with designing operating systems/enterprise applications and working with design systems
  • Demonstrated ability to work in complex environments, both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with Sketch and/or Adobe XD (Axure is a bonus)
  • Exceptional English skills in writing, presentation, and interpersonal communication
  • Willingness and desire to travel.

In your application, please make sure to attach your portfolio – and if possible, a display of your work with designing operating systems/enterprise applications.
